Obstetric violence is on the rise in Romania, is under-reported and not tackled. Women's health is not a priority for the authorities, and health professionals are not aware of and are not properly trained on the specific needs of women.<\/p>

Women's voices are not heard. The media, women, the general public and medical professionals are not aware that this is a type of violence. We believe that this is the first step in addressing obstetric violence - awareness.<\/p>

Prin acest proiect, ne-am propus s\u0103 cre\u0219tem gradul de con\u0219tientizare asupra calit\u0103\u021bii \u00eengrijirii materne, pentru c\u0103 exist\u0103 o lips\u0103 sistemic\u0103 de evaluare care \u00eempiedic\u0103 g\u0103sirea de solu\u021bii pentru \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea serviciilor medicale oferite femeilor.<\/strong><\/p>

A fost pentru prima dat\u0103 c\u00e2nd violen\u021ba obstetric\u0103 a fost cercetat\u0103 \u0219i comunicat\u0103 diferitelor p\u0103r\u021bi interesate.<\/p>

Given the lack of information and knowledge about obstetric violence and women's difficult access to the health care system, we set out to conduct a research using a survey<\/strong><\/a> relevant to collect data from mothers who have given birth in the last 5 years in Romania and prepare a report with representative data, including expert recommendations to improve access to universal antenatal care, evidence-based birth practices and baby-friendly measures in hospitals.<\/p>

Totodat\u0103, ne-am propus s\u0103 colabor\u0103m cu diferite p\u0103r\u021bi interesate, cum ar fi organiza\u021bii ale societ\u0103\u021bii civile partenere \u00een domeniul drepturilor femeilor, institu\u021biile de s\u0103n\u0103tate, organismele guvernamentale, mass-media \u0219i publicul larg pentru dezvoltarea capacit\u0103\u021bii de a include problemele de s\u0103n\u0103tate ale femeilor \u00een agenda mai larg\u0103 de advocacy pentru egalitatea de gen din Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>

The objectives are to raise awareness of obstetric violence and to start the process of amending Law 202\/2002 on equality between women and men and to include obstetric violence as a form of gender-based violence.<\/p>\n<\/div>
